Your occupation or if you are retired, what was your occupation? When I retired the first time, at 62 I as Marketing Manager for BFI. The second time I retired at 65 I was a part owner of a cabana rental and service company called “Rest Stop Portable toilets, Inc” I also served as a city councilman for 10 years 7. If you are retired, what are you doing now? Sailing a Catalina 25 on Lake Conroe 8. Your hobbies and/or pastimes. Sailing, gardening, working on “Classic Cars” and a little golf 9. How many children do you have and where do they live? 2 boys, one 34 living in Houston and one 23 living in Conroe 10. How many grandchildren do you have? None 11. Did you hold an office while in high school, participate in sports, the band, the Hussars, etc.? Nope Well I was in the Rifle Club 57-58 12. What were your aspirations when you were in high school? Graduate from Lamar, get a good job, fall in love, get married, and live happily ever after. 13. Did you accomplish most of the goals you set for yourself back then or did you alter your direction? I ran out of money for the college goal, but obtained the rest of my goals 14. What was your favorite song during your high school days? Be-Bop-A-Lula by Gene Vincent (go figure!) 15. What was your favorite movie back then? That’s a tough one!....The Bridge over The River Kwai is the first one that comes to mind 16. What were your favorite hangouts? i.e. The Beehive, the movies, the drive in, Pleasure Pier, etc. The Pleasure Pier, Making the drag, Skip’s Drive-in 17. Do you have photos of any of these events? Yes, I’ll dig them out of the archives 18. What was your favorite subject in high school and why? English!!!! And I don’t know why 19. Who was your favorite teacher or was there a teacher who inspired you? Miss Vickers 20. What was your most embarrassing moment or your worst nightmare during high school years? Someone handed me my senior annual and I signed my own picture!!! They all laughed 21. Where did you meet your mate if you are married? (not necessary to include previous mates if you are divorced or separated) Nita Collins of Houston, Texas and I met in Conroe, Texas and Married 8/15/1975. We will be celebrating our 30th anniversary this next month. 22. Do you know of any classmates who are deceased? If so, please relay the information so it can be added to a memorial page. I’m pretty happy right where I am, what I done, and what I am doing….thank you very much 26. If you could go back to our high school days, which year would you go back to and why? Considering our high school days were 1954 to 1958 including Woodrow Wilson Jr. High years. 1958; It was one of the memorable years of my life 27. Is there anything in particular you would like to see on this website? More photos 28. Do you have any photos of yourself then and now?
